"I've been working on an ongoing series entitled the "Fly Away" Series that embodies everything I love in life and art (basketball, organic shapes, pastels, flowers, my culture, and movement) since 2019. Over time I've evolved in regards to my process, skill, and composition. This specific picture is a painting of DeMar DeRozan, one of my basketball inspirations. Having a platform to showcase in the United Center with The Bulls and All Star has pushed me to make the best piece possible. I'm really focusing on creating movement using the background colors and shapes. I want the piece to feel like he's actually flying."
