For the All Star Press 2022 finale, we are excited to present "NEVERLAST," a solo show by JC Rivera, exhibited first at Scope Art in Miami and then retrospectively at the All Star Press gallery in Chicago. The show is the culmination of over a decade of close collaboration between All Star Press and JC Rivera. JC Rivera is a Chicago-based artist who’s spent the last decade creating one of the most iconic, nationally recognized street art brands, using “The Bear Champ” as his moniker. “The Bear Champ” character portrays themes of perseverance and resilience, which “NEVERLAST” continues to explore. “I created the bear just like that: a boxing bear, beaten up. He was smoking a cigarette at the beginning, tired of all the punches in life, but still going. He’s been through a lot, but it still keeps going.” - JC Rivera

The show features all new work of over 30 different wood panel paintings, a limited edition print and a variant print, a line of hand-embellished vintage boxing gloves, and press-molded sculptures.
