ZEYE, a Chicago native, Chicano female graffiti, tattoo, muralist, and realism artist, works against that standard narrative, emphasizing women should be seen, heard, and represented. Coming up in a male-dominated graffiti scene and art world, she has been through discrimination, sexism, racism, and trauma. All of which has made her even more driven in her journey, growth, and perseverance, coming up as a self-taught artist on Chicago’s south side.
